Mothers Day Sunday 19th March 2023

A little reminder, only three weeks until Mothering Sunday. Sunday 19th March. Did you know that Mother's Day is celebrated at different times in different countries? In the United Kingdom and Europe this celebration fell on the fourth Sunday in Lent and was originally seen as a time when the faithful would return to their “mother church”—the main church in the vicinity of their home—for a special service. Now, the regious connection is forgotten by most and we see it as a time to show our respect to our mother and thank them for all that they have done for us. Have you made your plans yet?
